I am pinning this as a sticky post. Richard Thomas just showed me that you can show public profiles on the Guardian. I think you can do this on Disqus as well. If you're a frequent commenter on articles, then post your profile here. Richard's who is RET on this forum for the Guardian is here: profile.theguardian.com/user/id/13364197?page=1We should share our public profiles on Disqus, too and other papers where we can get engaged in the comment section. Comments are one of the best ways to raise awareness, and especially to link through to resources like this forum or the AEP website, or Facebook group. They're a great discovery mechanism.

Glad to help. Yes, Disqus also has a link which you can find from your Notifications page, but it basically looks like disqus.com/by/__yourusername__/ so mine is disqus.com/by/ret56fe/Not that this thread is all about me and my arguing with idiots on the internet. There's probably a good way of putting these links into your forum profile, but I'm not yet familiar enough with this particular forum package.
