As you may have seen, when I met with Phillip Adams recently he said that we should try and get a "super star convert": someone who is a prominent public figure (ideally someone ex or current government or public service but not necessarily, could also be business or community leader) who can endorse our party and policies, in particular the Job Guarantee and MMT. The list of people I have come up with so far is: - Laura Tingle - Paul Keating - Julia Gillard - Paul Keating - Adam Goodes - Anita Heiss - Ken Henry - Bob Brown - Alan Kohler So 2 things: 1) Does anyone have any ideas about who would be good for this list? I am particular interested in women, Indigenous Australians, people from the QUILTBAG community & other people of colour as this is a heavily white/straight/male dominated space and I would like to be overtly focused on diversity in order to counteract that 2) Anyone who has a LinkedIn profile or Facebook account with lots of connections, can you look and see if anyone above or who gets added to this list further down is in your immediate network, or if someone you know well can put you in touch with that person? If you find someone who you could introduce the party to, you can use the introductory letter found in this thread: aep.freeforums.net/thread/32/introductory-letter-aep-journos-politicos

Another potential is John Wren who was a contemporary of "Red Ted" who was an instrumental architect of our early economy and advocated increases in government spending. I've pinged John on Twitter, but I'm unsure if it's even really him ... does anyone know him?

You've listed Keating twice - so we can all guess who you really want That said, with Keating, perhaps you can explain the JG as a variation of the original concept of the Jobs Compact (which eventually became the original Job Network)

They call Steve Keen a rockstar economist. Keating as a proponent of MMT, he has had no economic training so that's a plus but was heavily influenced by neoliberals in Treasury should read what Victor Quirk has to say about Hawke/Keating Govt e1.newcastle.edu.au/coffee/pubs/wp/2004/04-02.pdfWhat about ABC personalities, should be some progressives there, don't forget radio. If John Wren was a contempory of Red Ted he is long dead (1953) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wren

Haha right so that's not the real John Wren on Twitter ... (Idiot Dooley!)
It looks like I'm not going yo get a rise out of Keating although I still need to follow up again with Phillip to see if he brought it up. He did say Keating is pretty impossible to get a hold of.
We have picked up a few new members since Steve Keen started retweeting us which is good!
Does anyone know anyone at the ABC?
Maybe I should hit Una up for some intros to left leaning politicos at SBS...
